Privacy and permissions
Tapilot uses your configured services; it does not include a hosted model or speech account.
Data and services
- Model requests send conversation context and relevant images or attachments to your configured provider. Phone tasks may include screenshots and extracted screen content.
- Speech recognition sends recorded audio to the selected Volcengine or Deepgram API.
- Optional voice polishing sends recognized text to the separate model service you configure.
- API keys are encrypted with Android Keystore before saving to app-private preferences. Local conversation history and task reports remain on the device until you share or export them. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes local data.
- Reports can include prompts, model output, and screenshots. Check them before sharing.
Permissions
Accessibility allows Tapilot to interact with other applications. Screen capture provides visual context during tasks. Microphone access is used for recording; camera and selected-file access are used for attachments. The global panel requires overlay access when enabled. Grant the permissions needed for the features you use and revoke them in Android Settings at any time.
