Getting started
Tapilot is an experimental Android assistant. This beta supports Android 11 or newer on ARM64 phones. It uses a debug signing certificate and is not a Play Store release.
Install and configure
- Download the APK from the download page. Allow installation from that source when Android asks, then install.
- Open Settings and configure your compatible model API URL, model name, and API key. Phone automation requires a model supported by Midscene.
- Enable Tapilot’s accessibility service if you want it to operate other apps. Approve screen capture when starting a task that needs it.
- For voice input, configure either Volcengine or Deepgram separately. Hold the input field to record, release to finish, or slide up and release to cancel.
- Voice polishing is optional and disabled by default. Configure its own compatible HTTPS model API in Settings. Failed polishing preserves the transcript.
Beta verification status
Native unit tests, simulated transcription interactions, and a real polishing model request were verified. The previous physical-device Volcengine test returned HTTP 403 because the configured key lacked volc.seedasr.sauc.duration access. A new key still needs a complete recording-to-transcript test. Deepgram was not tested on a physical device in this round.
